Stealing moments of silence, DH and DS have gone out to the park. This is a glorious sunny Tuesday morning, national holiday and DD has decided to take her nap two hours early so here I am on a Tuesday upgrading my blogs...yes I have decided to pay for membership...and baking a cherry pie. Think I'm going to put some Tom Jones on the stereo and rock out.
We're doing Thanksgiving today...Thursday is a work day. We're having roast chicken not turkey and cherry pie not pumpkin, but hey it's Thanksgiving nonetheless.
I am indeed thankful. For this nice weather, for my family, for the incredible network of friends I've built on line and in the real world, and for my little solitary pleasures...writing, reading, drooling over my favorite actors and musicians.
I'm inspired to write these days. Actually produced a not-very good poem the other day and I am fantasizing about doing a zine. People could pay me through PayPal or US dollars cash, I can always take them to the bank or use them on our next trip to the States.......haha...typical me, thinking of methods of payment before I've even writen the thing. I think I want to call it Walking Between the Worlds...hmmmm....tempting. I can even do it handwritten and Xeroxed, just like the East Village Inky which I adore.
I haven't been at my best as a Mother lately, but hopefully I'll do better. There's always tomorrow, or five minutes from now, to make up for it.
